As frontier breaker, Boris Charmatz deconstructs the idea of cathedral to go back to the roots of the word church, ekklêsia, translated by gathering. Today head of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch company, he created with nearly thirty dancers a human moving architecture.
He presented a show on last year’s opening night at le phénix or made more than hundred people dance in the streets. Today, Boris Charmatz is presenting a five-part play summoning the organ and bells, a cappella singing and silence. The legendary Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch will be closely surrounded by the audience to celebrate human contact.
