A man with an unlikely British accent tells a story; his grandparent may have been cursed by a mermaid, become king or a beggar, and eventually ended up stretched on the rack in some land, or dead without glory at his old mother’s. As a glorious showman, Olivier Martin-Salvan brings to life these picaresque adventures throughout Europe, as his tireless stage manager and squire tries his best to set up a scenery with cardboard boards. A wild unconscious dash to find happiness.
