Between comedy and emotion, Gaelle Hermant takes hold of Ivan Viripaev’s sense of tragedy and chooses humour, “a helping hand given to humankind”. In the waiting room of a hospital, six characters laugh, betray one another, love each other, tear each other apart, from the death of a loved one to the death certificate…
Lives are told in fragments, moving with every variation of this Danse Delhi. Divided in seven parts, this play delves into our relation to death, shifting from comedy to ridicule, from grotesque to deep pain. Live music introduces every part. The direction brilliantly highlights our relation to the world, the unspoken and fear.
