Béatrice Massin | Lia Rodrigues | Dominique Hervieu
« Each play is both as funny as the world of children may be and as serious as it may as well be”, said Annie Sellem. The idea to invite choreographers from various horizons to work on La Fontaine’s Fables was hers. Baroque and contemporary dance as well as hip hop delightfully embrace their eternal significance.
La Fontaine wearing shorts and snickers enters as a wild hip hop dancer in The Fox and the Crow humorously revisited by Dominique Hervieu. Flattery targets here our societies’ extreme narcissism. Expert in baroque dance, Béatrice Massin lets everyone dream their own fable by letting their bodies speak the cruel games of power from the utmost modern Wolf and the Lamb… Finally, with Contre ceux qui ont le goût difficile, Lia Rodrigues invites us to imagine, invent other ways than those inherited from obvious balance of power. Act as a free open mind instead of pleasing!
