Ásrún Magnúsdóttir & Alexander Roberts
No other subject has been more sung, represented and described in the history of art than love and sex. And yet, has the floor ever been given to young people? Curator Alexander Graham Roberts and choreographer Ásrún Magnúsdóttir, rewarded many times in Iceland have been working for many years with teenagers. They’ve decided today to give them the floor to broach a subject on which they seldom exchange with adults. The musical show The Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex has been touring the world since. In every city they perform, nine Icelandic singers invite young people to write and sing their experience. A soft and sensitive celebration of the transition to adulthood.
