Heidi & Rolf Abderhalden | Mapa Teatro

In the heart of the Amazon rainforest, an indigenous community has been resisting for more than a century any form of colonisation and inhumanity. Mapa Teatro is tracking this people in a show mixing story and fiction, politics and poetry. A group of people living at the heart of the forest made the choice to leave the world out. They disappeared from maps and registers for the sake of their lives, freedom and culture. When two gold diggers found them in 1969, no one was able to decipher their language or understand how they manage to survive. The Colombian artists investigate the resources of their struggle against human and environmental exploitation. An uncompromising opprobrium of new forms of violence.
