Rébecca Chaillon
Stage director / authoress / actress
From Martinique, Rébecca Chaillon grew up in Picardy where she founded Dans le Ventre company in 2006. As she met Rodrigo Garcia, her desire to write for the performing arts became glaringly obvious. So did her fascination with food, especially with her solo show ‘L’Estomac dans la peau‘, followed by dazzling and generous shows like ‘Où la chèvre est attachée, il faut qu’elle broute‘, ‘Carte Noire nommée Désir’; cameos in films like ‘My Body my rules‘, and ‘Ouvrir la Voix‘ by Amandine Gay on Afro-descendant women. Writer Rébecca Chaillon is represented by l’Arche. The Phénix has been supporting her since 2015 when she first entered the Campus and has never stopped supporting her singularity since.
